1. Our commitment to financial integrity is paramount. We entrust our financial record-keeping to a professional accountant, a reputable firm that manages our funds, budgets, reconciliations, payroll, taxes, and reporting. This partnership allows us to maintain meticulous records and ensures full compliance with all relevant laws and ethical standards, fostering greater confidence among our donors. In short, we believe that those who preach the Gospel should they themselves, live by the Gospel!

1 Corinthians 9: 14 NKJV – “Even so the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel.”

2. We strive to empower individuals financially, recognizing that alleviating financial burdens enhances their capacity for generosity. A crucial aspect of our ministry involves addressing the practical realities of life by preaching the Word of God to equip individuals with biblical principles for debt reduction, savings, and increased generosity. We believe that offering this spiritual guidance is essential before soliciting donations. Both our ministry and partners must be hearers of the Word and doers also! We want God’s people to be able to readily see that they are sowing into good ground!

Matthew 13: 23 NKJV – “But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

3. Leading by example is a core value. A particularly gratifying moment would be announcing that our staff, whose livelihoods depend on congregational giving, pledged 15% of our own operating budget. Mike Turner believes in being a ‘cheerful giver’ and in keeping with this Biblical principal, Mike understands the value of leading by example! Tithing and generosity are integral to our organizational culture, forming a foundational commitment for all youngeagle.org team members, as outlined in our core values here.

Luke 16:10 NKJV – “He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.

4. The Bible consistently reminds us that our aspirations often fall short of God’s potential. Every instance of God’s provision underscores the limitations of our own vision, prompting us to continually expand our expectations! We share this vision through in person events, annual ministry banquets, and the preaching and teaching of God’s Word.

Ephesians 3:20-21 powerfully states, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!”

5. We deeply value every contribution, regardless of size. While some donors generously contributed tens of thousands of dollars, the offerings that most profoundly touched us were the small donations—often around $5—from single mothers, widows, and individuals with limited or no income. These gifts, born of faith and love for Jesus and His church, are profoundly meaningful. While we believe in encouraging larger gifts from those blessed with greater resources, we remain steadfast in our appreciation for every single contribution, recognizing the immense significance of even the smallest act of generosity.

Luke 21: 1-4 – “And He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury, 2 and He saw also a certain poor widow putting in two mites. 3 So He said, “Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all; 4 for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for God, but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had.”

6. Cultivating a culture of generosity is essential. Over time, our actions and celebrations shape our identity. A leader’s primary long-term responsibility is fostering a healthy organizational culture, and celebrating the generosity of God’s people is integral to this process. We ask our Advisory Board Members to consistently share both our vision for ministry as well as our shared fruitful results with those who partner with us in this mission.

2 Corinthians 9: 2 NLT – “For I know how eager you are to help, and I have been boasting to the churches in Macedonia that you in Greece were ready to send an offering a year ago. In fact, it was your enthusiasm that stirred up many of the Macedonian believers to begin giving”

7. Our focus transcends mere fundraising; we aim to cultivate faith. There’s a significant difference between requesting financial support to meet organizational needs and inspiring individuals to stretch their faith through giving, recognizing the spiritual growth inherent in generosity. We don’t simply raise funds; we nurture the spiritual development of our donors. Stewardship and discipleship are at the heart of our approach. We are deeply grateful for the congregation’s generosity in meeting our needs, but even more moved by the enthusiastic participation of so many in God’s work. We believe this is just the beginning of witnessing remarkable miracles, and anticipate even greater things to come. Ultimately, our shared commitment to reaching those in need with the transformative message of Jesus Christ is what truly inspires us.

Hebrews 11: 6 NKJV – “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

8. Without hesitation, our partners are truly ‘with us’ on this mission. We are not campaigning for money, we want true Kingdom minded saints of God who are called by God to invest in His vision of “seeking and saving that which was lost”

Luke 19: 10 NKJV – “for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Why youngeagle.org you ask? Why give to a mission that is ‘outside’ the local church? Well simple, we go where churches cannot go. We are on the campus of a public educational institution. We are ‘in the world but not of the world’. We go where churches, pastors, and missionaries for the most part, can not go. We are a part of the program, in locker rooms, in practice sessions, in event settings, wherever athletes are we are there with them, holding up the banner of Jesus Christ! Ultimately making a BIG difference in the lives of these young student athletes for the glory of God. We are bringing real definition to our mission statement by ‘Encouraging Young Leaders to Impact the World Today!”
